Nikki Giovanni release new book, Make Me Rain

Poet Nikki Giovanni has a new book and in a virtual sit-down interview with fellow poet Aja Monet for the Schombu, the two discuss Make Me Rain and how the late Marvin Gaye’s album What’s Goin On inspired the book’s cover. She also discusses and shares her opinion on James Baldwin, Black Art, Social Media, Black Lives Matter, and out-going President Donald Trump.
