
Trailer: Judas and The Black Messiah
The story of Fred Hampton is coming to the big screen. The real-life Black Panther was just 21 years old when he was killed at the hands of the FBI while asleep in his home. Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield, who starred together in Jordan Peele’s Get Out, will play the roles of Fred Hampton and Williams O’ Neal respectively in Judas and the Black Messiah.
Fred Hampton was Chairman of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party and labored endlessly to stop the oppression of Black people and infighting within the community and its leaders. Chairman Fred used his influence to communicate with gangs to work for the betterment of the community. His death date has been sighted by Jay-Z as it’s his birthday.
Judas and Black Messiah is directed by Shaka King and will be released Feburary 2021
