
Virgil Abloh Passes Away From Cancer
Virgil Abloh, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton men’s wear, has passed away at 41. Abloh suffered from cardiac angiosarcoma and battled the rare cancer for two years.
Abloh was a close friend of rappers Kanye West and Drake and worked with Hip Hop’s elite on clothing designs and album covers. He’s re-designed sneakers for Nike and Brand Jordan; making the cool even cooler with his trademark bold text on select Nike and Air Jordan sneakers.
The death of Virgil Abloh adds to the growing list of prominent Black men dying in their prime. The likes of Nipsey Hussle, Kobe Bryant, Chadwick Boseman, Pop Smoke, and most recently Young Dolph.
Abloh is survived by his wife and two children.
