The Obamas Are Leaving Spotify
Former President Barack Obama and Former First Lady Michelle Obama will not be renewing their deal with Spotify. The duo through their Higher Grounds Production company have produced four separate podcasts for the platform. However, the duo has only appeared in 16 episodes since the deal was initially announced in 2019 and are reluctant in creating more episodes annually for their respective podcast, The Michelle Obama Podcast, and Renegades: Born in the USA, which Mr. Obama hosted with Musician Bruce Springsteen.
This is the second major program to have parted ways with Spotify. Most recently former Rapper Joe Budden announced his podcast would no longer be exclusive to Spotify.
