VIDEO: Megan Thee Stallion Sits Down w/ Gayle King
Rapper Megan thee Stallion opened up on CBS Mornings to Gayle King for the first time about the July 2020 shooting that left her with gunshot wounds in her feet. Megan, whose real name is Megan Pete, details the night of the shooting, explaining she was at a party and wanted to go home while her friends wanted to stay and party; an argument ultimately led to fellow rapper Tory Lanez shooting her in the feet. She ultimately lied to law enforcement and said she “stepped on glass” to protect everyone in the car as the killing of the George Floyd was fresh in her mind.
When questioned about her relationship with Lanez, she denied there was a sexual relationship with the rapper, contradicting the rumor of Lanez’ being intimate with Megan and her friend. Megan reminds everyone she’s the victim and doesn’t need to plead her case.
