Will Smith on the Daily Show
Will Smith is slowly returning to the public eye following his Oscar night slap on Chris Rock. In an appearance on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah, he discusses his new movie Emancipation. Smith describes the film as a “freedom” movie compared to the annual slave films produced by Hollywood.
Emancipation is directed by Antoine Fuqua whose known for his work alongside Denzel Washington in Training Day. The film is likely to be nominated for an Academy Award and Will encourages people to not allow his mistake to “deny” the film during Awards season.
Emancipation will be released on AppleTV on December 9th.
